Abstract

Article analyzes tractor work efficiency and driving wheel slippage.
Analysis of tractor slippage and fuel consumption reduction methods and tools
were done. Tractor work parameter, tyre air pressure and extra weights dependence
analysis results was presented. Accredited, that dependence of driving wheel
slippage must be taken in account for evaluation its influence on tractor aggregate
work efficiency at any work condition. Soil physical and mechanical properties
varies much, therefore value of slippage has to be determined experimentally.
Driving wheel slippage and fuel consumption investigation results during
soil tillage and seeding applications were carried out using a tractor „FORD 8340“,
cultivator „Doublet-Record“ and seeding machine „STEGSTED“. During
investigation the extra weights at the front of the tractor and air pressure in the
tyres was changed. During investigation tractor ran in 3H gear and at 1600 ±15
min-1 engine speed.
Experimentally reasoned optimal values of tractor extra weight and
tyre air pressure, which has an influence to suitable 7-8% grip of driving
wheels during the work application. As well it gives good front wheel grip
and allowable rear wheel load during turning with lifted implement.
Tractor, slippage, hourly fuel consumption, hectare fuel consumption,
extra weights, air pressure in the tyres, cultivation of soil, seeding process.
